ART CREATION CHARGES:

If you do not have artwork, your artwork does not meet our requirements, or if you need other design work or alterations, Rolf Glass can create and edit artwork for you.  Art charges will be assessed according to the amount of time required by our Designers and charged at $40.00 per hour as necessary.  If art charges are necessary for your order you will be asked how you would like to proceed.

 

ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • The quality of your engraved image begins with the quality of the artwork you provide us.
  • Artwork must be submitted via E-Mail, FTP (File Transfer Protocol), or via Dropbox. 
  • Please adhere to our specifications to ensure timely processing and to avoid delays or incurred art charges.
  • Please allow time for artwork creation, proofing, and revisions when planning your delivery timeline.

 

Artwork can be accepted in the following file formats:

  • .AI .EPS .SVG .PDF .TIFF .JPEG or .JPG   -  Raster graphics must be 600 dpi or higher at 100% of final size or larger.
  • Vector art is our preferred format. It provides the best quality and ease of manipulation, sizing, editing, etc.
  • If scanned images are used they MUST be sent as a separate file scanned at 600 dpi or higher.
  • (If original is smaller than actual size, please scan at a higher resolution. This will reduce any loss of quality.)
  • ALL FONTS MUST BE CONVERTED TO OUTLINES, CURVES OR PATHS (VECTOR).
  • If file compression is required please use Stuffit or Zip.

 

WE DO NOT ACCEPT:

  • GIF files or other low-resolution files
  • Page Layout files (such as Quark, InDesign, or Pagemaker)
  • Word processing documents such as MS Word or Power Point
  • Photocopies, business cards, letterheads, fax transmissions, etc.
  • (These formats are too low of quality to ensure your product has a high quality of engraving.)

When sending your artwork via E-Mail it is very important that you include the following information.

Artwork with very thin lines, halftones, screen tints and/or bleeds must be reviewed by our Art Department for approval.

Avoid very fine lines, both in type and illustrations.

The engraving process requires a minimum of 1-point thickness for all lines and white spaces.

NOTE: All artwork received will be sized proportionally to proofs unless noted otherwise.

We only offer engraving at this time and cannot print or do any color work.

 

CANCELLATION CHARGES:

Orders cancelled during production will be charged for the work completed at the time of cancellation.

 

CHANGES TO AN ORDER:

Any changes made to an order after received at factory must be confirmed in writing, email or by fax.

Note: Changes may delay shipments and charges may apply.

 

COMPLAINTS:

Complaints must be made within 15 days after receipt of shipment.

For drop ship orders, it is the customer’s responsibility to verify receipt of correct product.

 

COPYRIGHT & TRADEMARK LAWS:

Rolf Glass assumes that artwork submitted for reproduction was submitted in full compliance with the laws governing copyright, trademarks, etc. Purchasers, by submitting artwork, agree not to hold Rolf Glass responsible for any damages, costs and/or expenses arising under these laws as a consequence of our use of said artwork.  Please be sure that you have legal permission to use any art that you provide.

 

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN:

Country of origin marking may be molded or imprinted onto some products. This is a federal requirement.

If this is of concern, please request a sample to make sure placement is acceptable before ordering.

 

CREDIT CARDS:

WE ACCEPT AMERICAN EXPRESS, MASTERCARD OR VISA.

All transactions are processed in US Dollars and payment must be made in US Dollars.

 

CUSTOMER PROVIDED GLASSWARE:

Rolf Glass can engrave glassware that you have purchased and shipped to our warehouse. All requests must be approved by Art Department before shipping the glassware to us. We may require a physical sample of the glassware to be decorated in order to verify if it meets our production needs.  If providing glassware, customer must include an additional 3% quantity to cover for loss or breakage in shipping and/or during the production process.

 

DISCLAIMER:

Glass products may have natural variations inherent in the production processes of the manufacturers.  Due to variances of materials and other circumstances beyond our control, Rolf Glass cannot guarantee continuity of shade, color, size, texture or construction of finished goods from lot to lot.  Due to manufacturer tolerances, all dimensions have acceptable variations that are dependent on the product.  Rolf Glass is not liable for delays due to acts of God, material shortages, shipping or customs interventions.

 

DROP SHIPMENTS:

Orders shipped to more than one destination are subject to a Drop Ship charge of $2.50 for each additional destination.

For drop ship orders, it is the customer’s responsibility to verify receipt of correct product.

LIABILITY LIMITATION:

In the event of a defect in material or workmanship, Rolf Glass will, at its sole discretion, replace the goods, F.O.B. point of shipment or refund the purchase price for the merchandise, provided that a written claim is received within 15 days from the shipment date. Rolf Glass’s liability shall not in any event exceed the cost of furnishing a replacement for the defective product.

 

MINIMUM QUANTITIES:

No minimum quantities for sand engraving or laser engraving.

Minimum quantities apply to Cut and Polished designs.

Please contact us for information regarding custom Cut and Polished designs.

Wholesale customers should create an account under the “Become A Retailer” link at the bottom of the website and completing the required information.

 

PRE-PRODUCTION SAMPLES:

$10 each for standard sized glassware either sand engraved or laser engraved.  Some exclusions apply including but not limited to wraparound designs, large items such as bowls, decanters, carafes or vases, designs with multiple engraving locations, etc.

Invoices will reflect current website pricing and will not be adjusted to reflect any previously offered pricing.

 

PRODUCTION TIME:

Normal production time on standard sand engraved or laser engraved items is up to 10 business days upon proof approval (and receipt of glassware if providing your own).  Larger volume orders, complex designs, wraparound designs, and other special requests may have extended turnaround times. Orders that need shipped in less than standard turnaround must be approved and may incur additional charges and/or expedited shipping fees.  See “Rush Orders” below.

 

PRODUCT REPRESENTATIONS:

Every effort has been made to ensure all product images and virtual proofs are accurate and true to the product. However, due to changes in stock, screen color variations and other factors, we encourage you to request a sample before placing your order so that you can be sure the product is exactly what you’re expecting. Minor variations in images and virtual proofs are to be expected and will not result in credits or refunds.

 

PROOFS:

Proofs will be sent via email unless otherwise noted on your purchase order. We will not proceed with any order until proof approval is given or otherwise noted on PO.  PRODUCTION BEGINS AFTER RECEIPT OF WRITTEN PROOF APPROVAL. NO CREDIT WILL BE ISSUED FOR ANY ART ERRORS AFTER PROOF APPROVAL. IT IS THE CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO PROOFREAD ALL TEXT, DESIGNS, GLASS STYLES, SIZES, ETC.

 

QUALITY OF GLASSWARE:

Due to the inherent properties of glassware there may be imperfections or irregularities, which should not be perceived as defective.

 

REGISTRATION:

A registration variance of up to ¼” is possible on wraparound designs and designs with multiple engraving areas.

This is due to variance in the glassware and other production variables and should be expected.

 

REORDERS:

To ensure exact duplication of an order, please submit the previous invoice number. Changes to art may incur additional charges.

 

RETURN OF GOODS:

Please contact us by phone or email prior to return of merchandise for any reason, or our Receiving Department will not accept return shipment. Returns must be requested within 15 days of purchase. For drop ship orders, it is the customer’s responsibility to verify receipt of correct product.

 

RUSH ORDERS:

Orders requiring less than normal production time must be clearly designated on your PO and Expedited Shipping must be authorized. Orders needing less than 5 working days MUST HAVE FACTORY AUTHORIZATION before being accepted, and a rush charge may apply.

RUSH SERVICE TERMS:

• All artwork must be emailed to: jesse@rolfglass.com

• Artwork must be ready for production (please see Artwork Requirements)

• Subject to inventory availability

• Order must state RUSH

• Customer’s account must be in good standing

• One engraving location only

• Proofs may not be available for rush turnaround depending on your required in-hands date

• Production begins as soon as possible after complete order is received

• Rush charge of $10 or 20%, whichever is greater, may be applied as needed.  You will be notified if charges apply.

 

SET UP CHARGES:

No setup charges apply for sand engraving or laser engraving. Art charges may apply.

 

SHIPPING:

All packaging and carton quantities are subject to change without notice. Packaging may vary according to quantities ordered. Please call or email for shipping quotes and current packaging information. Due to the volume of orders shipped daily, adjustments to ship methods MUST be received 2 days before scheduled ship date or changes cannot be guaranteed. If a firm in-hands date is required, please include this in writing via email and on your Purchase Order.

Tracking number is included on the invoice/receipt that is emailed upon completion of your order.

Tracking and/or delivery confirmation cannot be provided for USPS shipments.  USPS cannot be used for international shipments.

 

WRAP ENGRAVING and MULTIPLE ENGRAVING LOCATIONS:

Wraparound imprints are one continuous piece of art and are subject to Art Department approval.

Limitations apply. Wrap designs require a special quote.

To engrave on two sides of an item or in multiple locations additional charges will apply.

Second side engraving prices vary based on item size and will require a special quote.

Due to the shape of some glassware, geometric shapes and/or logos may be distorted and wraparound imprint may not be offered.

 

TRUCK SHIPMENTS:

Must be marked on purchase order FREIGHT DELIVERY.

Any claims concerning delayed merchandise should be made directly to the carrier.

Rolf Glass’s responsibility ceases once the merchandise is delivered to the carrier.

PLEASE NOTE:

Our primary carriers are UPS and FedEx.  If you would like to ship with another carrier, you must notify us upon placing your order. If no carrier is specified on your order, we will ship via most economical option or UPS Ground.

 

FORCE MAJEURE:

ROLF GLASS CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR FAILURE TO FULFILL A DELIVERY COMMITMENT AS A RESULT OF SITUATIONS BEYOND OUR REASONABLE CONTROL. THIS INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO OCCURRENCES SUCH AS: NATURAL DISASTERS (I.E. HURRICANES, FLOODS), LABOR STRIKES, CONGESTION AT PORTS OF ENTRY, US CUSTOMS / HOMELAND SECURITY HOLDS AND DELAYS, OR FAILURE OF SUBCONTRACTORS TO PERFORM. ROLF GLASS WILL PROVIDE WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION IN SUPPORT OF ANY FORCE MAJEURE OR COMMERCIAL IMPRACTICABILITY CONDITION UPON REQUEST.

 

Corporate Social Responsibility

All business activities of Rolf Glass shall comply with all applicable national, state, provincial and local laws and regulations, industry minimum standards, and any other relevant statutory requirements that pertain to product safety, employment and manufacturing.

 

Prohibition of Discrimination

Rolf Glass will not tolerate discrimination in hiring, remuneration, access to training, promotion, termination or retirement based on gender, age, religion, race, caste, social background, disability, ethnic and national origin, nationality, membership in workers’ organizations including unions, political affiliation, sexual orientation, or any other personal characteristics.

 

Environment and Safety Issues

Rolf Glass makes every effort to maintain minimal wasted materials and recycles all scrap glass, cardboard packaging, and plastic shrink-wrap.  Rolf Glass strives to leave a small environmental footprint in terms of energy usage, material waste, replacement of chemicals with alternatives that are safer for both worker health and environmental health and safety.

 

CPSIA Statement

The United States Congress passed the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) in August of 2008. The sections of the law applicable to the Glassware industry concern items that are classified as Children’s Products. While all items featured in the Rolf Glass catalog are designed to meet applicable Federal regulations, they are not primarily designed for or intended for use by children.
